Yes, he did like you. He’s 23 years old and lives with his girlfriend with whom he’s been with since he’s been 18. You do the math: he hasn’t had a lot of experience and at 32, you’re not just another woman, you’re “the older woman” who is interested in him, which makes you even more appealing to him. So it should be pretty clear that he did and maybe even does still like you.
However, since his girlfriend has already approached you about overstepping your bounds, be prepared for more of the same if you become friends with him. You may be walking into a mess, so proceed with your eyes open. 🙂
