I think this relationship has run it’s course — although…. there may be a few reuniting episodes, and break up episodes before it finally peters out. The fact that he’s in college is a big part of the break up “sticking”. It’s difficult to have a long distance relationship with someone who’s away at college because they’re going through so many new experiences. It sounds like this was a meaningful relationship that was wonderful while it lasted, and not so much when it ended. I know he is your first love and it sounds like things were very special, but the distance coupled with his college experience is going to make this very difficult to sustain, giving everything you’ve written.
