Ok so I’m just going to go through this whole story and let me know what you think… I am a seventeen year old girl and I have a crush on this guy who is 22…

I met him when I was in my school play this year and he was the music director. We kinda talked then but only a little.

After the play he was allowed to accept me on facebook (a stupid rule at my high school didn’t allow him to beforehand) and I decided to message him by saying that I was glad I met him and that we should definitely keep in touch

he eventually responded with “yeah definitely, here’s my number ####### give me a ring sometime”

I texted him probably a week later and we had a few texting conversations for a while, and one night while I was texting him, he called me and we talked on the phone for about an hour and a half

I just want to know if you all think that he likes me or is just being friendly or what?
If you have any questions about details just ask

(oh yeah and a problem I am having is that he has never initiated a conversation with me, I always text him first, so I was wondering why?)

Rule number one — never initiate the conversations, or the texts or the phone calls with a guy. In addition to a host of other things, if you let him initiate you won’t be confused because you’ll know straight up if he likes you enough to contact you or not. So stop making the first moves.

Second, while there’s only a five year age gap between the two of you, at your age this is a big gap. Too big. You’re not legal and he is, and he could get in big trouble if the two of you started dating. That’s probably why he’s not initiating anything with you. He knows that he shouldn’t.

So follow those two rules and you’ll be less dazed and a lot less confused. Don’t chase guys or even initiate contact and pick someone who’s closer to your age until you’re a legal adult. Your life will be less complicated and happier. 😀
