Last year I started liking a guy a lot more than I expected and as the months went by my feelings kept increasing and increasing as we continued talking and getting to know each other more and more. It’s almost ridiculous how much I liked him, but of course knowing my luck he ends up deciding to drop out of school to pursue his dreams. Months later after many attempts on my part to completely get over him including trying to like other guys and hiding his statuses on facebook, I still find myself thinking constantly about him and it kinda sucks, especially when I know that I may never even see him again and even if I did he probably wouldn’t be interested. any advice!

P.S. I’ve actually had dreams about him
Example: in most of the dreams its just us holding hands and our foreheads are touching.
(the touching of the foreheads is a reacuring event!) 🙄

People use fantasy in order to avoid real life. You haven’t seen this guy in months (at least), so it’s not like you run into him and can’t help thinking about him because he’s part of your day to day life. You’re the one who keeps bringing him up in your brain — which is the only place you’re “seeing” him. Whatever it is about reality that keeps you in avoidance (whether it’s fear of being single or something else), it’s time to face that challenge.

My advice is to focus on real life. You’ll have a much happier time of things if you do. Read my book, Think & Date Like A Man, https://www.askapril.com/relationship-dating-advice/think-and-date-like-a-man.html, so you have a better idea of how to attract men in REAL life. 🙂 If you start focusing on the real men all around you, you’ll easily forget this fantasy man who’s literally not available.

I hope that helps. You can buy Think & Date Like A Man on the link above, or on the websites for Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
