He stays because he has a need to be abusive, and you serve a role in that dynamic. If you want to stop being a victim, only you can make that happen. You’re not going to stop his abuse, so change YOUR behavior.

I think the right question is ‘why are you still with him?’ Why are you staying?
You will never be able to change anyone or how they treat you. I agree with the post before mine – you can only control your own actions and what you’re willing to put up with from someone else. Deep down you have to know that you deserve better.
[b]Pearson[/b] is right, but the reason that people don’t always ask the right question is because they don’t want to know the answer — and the reason they don’t want to know the answer is because it requires THEM to take responsibility and change their own behavior! 😉
